THREE PRINCESSES ![]() Just what is the page about? I'm going to go into the similarities between these three princesses. As I was watching Gundam Seed for the 5th time, honestly, I don't know how many times I have watched this series. It's all been with different people, so don't look at me like that *smiles*. Anyway, as I was watching it, I began to see strange similarities between these three girls. First of all, each of them symbolizes a nation, country, or military, whatever you want to call it. For Cagalli it's Orb, for Lacus it's Zaft and for Fllay it's Earth Alliance. Don't believe that Fllay symbolized earth alliance? Well, I'm about to change your mind, or at least try. It is already super obvious that Lacus and Cagalli are leaders and idols for their countries. It's said over and over, time and time again throughout both the series of Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny, but it isn't as obvious for Fllay because, well, she died! But let me get straight to the point. When Fllay decided to join Earth Alliance it was her words that gave her a sort of importance. It gave her enough importance that when the Archangel made it to Alaska she was one of the three soldiers that were to be transferred away from the death trap. There reasons for doing so was because they wanted to use her abilities for the war, not on the front lines, but as a speaker to help motivate the other soldiers in the war. Even though most people would think that having Fllay, as a motivational speaker is crazy and can only lead to destruction, I disagree. If Fllay had actually gotten the chance to do more for the war and was still around for Seed Destiny, she would have been a big help. I think that is one of the reasons as to why they had to kill her off, besides her being competition for Kira's heart. *sweatdrop* Sure Fllay was confused and made terrible decisions, but she grew and got tons of different experiences in dealing with the war on the frontlines. She grew so much that she knew what she did in the past was wrong and because she knew this she felt plenty of shame and was ready to do something about it to make it right. Another big similarity would be that all three of them were daddies’ girls and yet all three of them lost their fathers in the war. They also all suffered when their fathers died and all three of them dealt with it the best way that they could. Also, all three of them found comfort in being around Kira after they had lost their fathers, for different reasons maybe, but they still all went to Kira. Same could be said about all of them trying to comfort Kira when he was upset. Sadly, I think the only one who doesn't act like a spoiled brat at times would be Lacus, but it doesn't mean that Lacus was perfect. To me, Lacus was the most naive one at the beginning. It was like she didn't understand that they were at war at all. That is why she gets a slap of realization when she is on the Archangel and meets up with a distressed and scared Fllay. After that encounter she finally starts to understand the seriousness of everything and starts to do something about it. As for both Cagalli and Fllay, they are both bratty and clueless about many things at first too. Unlike Lacus, they know just how serious the war really is but they are naive about how the ending of the war should be brought upon. They both act like they are in a hurry to go and fight, not knowing that fighting will not solve anything. They are also both very competitive and hot headed. That is how the similarities come to mind. All three of these girls grew from the bad experiences in war and from seeing how others handled it. In the end I believe that all three of these girls would have made a good team, it's just too bad that Fllay had to die. |
