Introduction

Welcome to Fortuitous, a Kyou and Tohru Shrine from the series Fruits Basket. Why fortuitous? Well, their meeting was a fortuitous one of course. This site is NOT spoiler free, so browse at your own risk! I hope you enjoy your stay here and don't be afraid to send in fan works.

This site is basicly complete, I won't be doing any major updates on it anymore. Every now and then I will be adding more images, graphics, fan submissions, and so on so forth, but the information is just about complete and you won't be seeing any update notices. The reason for this is because I have many other sites to maintain and I lost my help with this site. I couldn't close it down because it is one of my favorite shrines so I decided to just keep it open and only maintain it when I have the time.

Fruits Basket Story

kyou and tohru

A Family with an ancient curse...
And the girl who will change their lives forever...

The Sohma family is cursed. However, this is no ordinary family curse. When a member of the family is embraced by a person of the opposite sex or their bodies go under a great deal of stress, they transform into an animal of the Chinese Zodiac!

The Sohma's have managed to keep the curse a secret for generations, until they meet Tohru Honda, a young orphan girl with no place to go. She is invited into the home where three of the cursed family members live, Shigure, Yuki, and Kyou, and stumbles onto their secret when she is trying to prevent a fight.

Life at the Sohma house changes forever, as for Tohru.

This series deals with major drama. Sad stories are told of pain and loneliness from each and every character. Yet, even though it has a lot of sad stuff, it also has many halarious and funny parts, as well as romance, growing frienships, and much more! This story is to make you laugh, cry, and say awww. Or as Tokyopop will put it, Fruits Basket is to take two parts drama, one part comedy, add a spoonful of romance and a pinch of magic and you're partway there, but something about it is special. What that special indgrediant is, you'll have to discover for yourself.
