Personality? Tohru is a very happy person on the outside and seems like she can say nothing wrong. Yet at times, she can be dense and sometimes can't find words to say. Everyone's happiness is her number one priority so she is always thinking about everyone's happiness before she thinks of her own. Which sometimes shows that she is actually hiding depressed and troubled feelings of her own but doesn't want to show them to anyone in fear of bothering anyone.

Her Story? Tohru is the main character of Fruits Basket. Her mother died just recently by a car accident, and her father died when she was really young by some kind of illness. After her mother's death, she was taken in by her grandfather, but unfortunately, the house had to do some remodeling so her grandfather asks her to live with her friend. But instead, she lived in a tent on the Sohma's property. Which is how she met and began to live with Shigure, Yukki, and Kyou. Right when she moved into her room she met Kyou and that was the start of a beautiful relationship.
